Our legal basis for collecting personal data

Collecting personal data based on consent

The collection of personal data based on consent from the data subject will be done by using “consent forms” that will store documentation related to the consent given by the individual. Individuals consents will always be stored and documented in our systems.

Collecting personal data based on contracts

We use personal information in order to achieve our obligations related to contracts and agreements with customers, partners and suppliers.

Collecting personal data based on legitimate interest

We may collect and use personal data if it’s considered to be of legitimate interest, so long as the privacy interests of the data subjects do not override this interest. Generally, to establish the legal basis for data collection, an assessment has been made during which a mutual interest between In Marketing We Trust and the individual has been established. This legal basis is primarily related to our sales and marketing purposes. We will always inform individuals of their rights to privacy and the purpose for collecting personal data.

The type of personal data collected

We collect name, phone number, title, job position, company name and email address. We may also collect feedback, comments and questions received from you in service-related communication and activities, such as in documents, meetings, phone calls and emails. From our websites we may collect IP-address and actions taken on the site.

If you apply for a job at In Marketing We Trust, we collect the information you provide during the application process.

In Marketing We Trust does not collect or process any special categories of personal data, such as public unique identifiers or sensitive personal data.

How long we keep personal data

We store personal data for as long as we find it necessary to satisfy the purpose for which the personal data was collected, while also considering our need to answer your queries or resolve possible problems, to comply with legal requirements under applicable laws, to attend to any legal claims/complaints, and for safeguarding purposes.

Therefore, we may store your personal data for a reasonable timeframe after your last interaction with In Marketing We Trust. When the personal data collected is no longer required, we will delete it in a secure manner. We may process data for statistical purposes, however, in such cases, data will be anonymised.

As a data subject, you have certain rights. These rights are outlined below:

  • The right of access
  • The right to rectification
  • The right to erasure
  • The right to restrict processing
  • The right to be informed
  • The right to data portability
  • The right to object
  • Automated decision making

This means:

  • You have the right to request a restriction on further data processing.
  • You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data, in case data processing has been based on legitimate interest and/or direct marketing.

When you use IMWT’s services, we make good faith efforts to provide you with access to your personal information and either to correct this data if it is inaccurate or to delete such data at your request if it is not otherwise required to be retained by law or for legitimate business purposes. We ask individual users to identify themselves and the information requested to be accessed, corrected or removed before processing such requests, and we may decline to process requests that are unreasonably repetitive or systematic, require disproportionate technical effort, jeopardise the privacy of others, or would be extremely impractical (for instance, requests concerning information residing on backup tapes), or for which access is not otherwise required. In any case where we provide information access and correction, we perform this service free of charge, except if doing so would require a disproportionate effort. Because of the way we maintain certain services, after you delete your information, residual copies may take a period of time before they are deleted from our active servers and may remain in our backup systems.

When you are accessing the web through a web browser, we use cookies from Google DoubleClick (and other advertisers) to improve your online experience, including the display of more relevant ads.

Anyone may opt-out of the DoubleClick cookie at any time by clicking on this link. Google also offers a number of options to permanently save your opt-out settings in your browser. If IMWT becomes involved in a merger, acquisition, or any form of sale of some or all of its assets, we will ensure the confidentiality of any personal information involved in such transactions and provide notice before personal information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

Third-party service providers

We may pass your information on to our distributors, agents, sub-contractors and other associated organisations with the purpose of them providing services to you on our behalf.

If required by law

We will disclose your personal data if required by law, or if we reasonably believe that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights as a company and/or to comply with a judicial proceeding, court order or legal process. However, we will do what we can to ensure that your privacy rights continue to be protected.

Sub-contractors (processors and sub-processors)

We may use sub-contractors to process personal data on our behalf. In Marketing We Trust is responsible for making sure they commit to adhering to this Privacy Policy and applicable data protection legislation by signing a Data Processing Agreement.
